About

PalmettoPlusBooks Desktop is a comprehensive accounting software designed for small and medium-sized businesses. It provides robust tools for invoicing, expense tracking, financial reporting, and payroll management, all from the convenience of your desktop. 

Usage

Here you can find instructions on how to get started and use the key features of the application.

Installation

To install PalmettoPlusBooks Desktop, download the installer from the orders email you received and follow the on-screen instructions. Administrator privileges may be required during installation. The default password on startup is password. Be sure to change this!

Creating Your Company

  • Put in the default password and proceed to create your company.

Installing License

  • Navigate to the 'Settings' page from the main dashboard.
  • Click the 'License' tab.
  • Enter the license key that you received in the Shipping Order email. Be sure to check for white spaces when copying/pasting your key into the application!
  • If you placed an order and did not receive a License key, please reach out to us via EMail and include the order #, Name, and email address associated with the order.

Creating Your First Customer

  • Navigate to the 'Billing' page from the main dashboard.
  • Click the 'Customers' tab.
  • Create your first customer.

Creating Your First Products/Services

  • Navigate to the 'Products or Services' page from the main dashboard.
  • Add your service or product details.

Creating Your First Invoice

  • Navigate to the 'Invoices' section from the main dashboard.
  • Click the 'New Invoice' button.
  • Fill in the client details, line items, and payment terms.
  • Save the invoice as a draft or send it directly to your client.

Notes

  • Taxes for products are based on the Invoice Addressee State. You can override this when creating an invoice.
  • Your data is YOURS. We collect telemetry ONLY in regards to how many computers the software has been installed on (license adherence), and running version associated with the key.
  • If we find that the license is being abused, we reserve the right to invalidate the license.
  • Backup your data! You can copy the palmettoplusbooks.db file or use the backup utility within the app to a shared drive, usb, other for backups.

Issues

Support Policy: Direct technical support is not included with the standard subscription-based license for this product. However, during the validity period of your license, you are entitled to download any updated versions of the Software as they are released.

Issue Submission: You may report potential software defects, bugs, or other issues by emailing our development team at EMail. Please note that while we review all submissions, we do not guarantee a direct response or a specific timeline for resolution.

  • We've added a Non-Profit tab in Accounting to track tithes/offerings for individuals. You can export all tithes/offerings for everyone annually via pdf report or individually!
  • We've cleaned up the interface and introduced a new logo! 


Known Issues

As of the GA 1.0.0 release, below are the issues.

  • The Invoice # in Top Customers is calculated incorrectly.
  • The order of line items is re-arranged after creating an invoice and going back in and editing.

As of the 1.1.0 release, below are the issues.

  • The Invoice start date is calculated incorrectly on subsequent invoices to customers.
